This month we will meet at the St. John’s Bridge in Cathedral Park and walk across the bridge to take the Ridge to Wildwood Loop Trail in Forest Park. Option 1: Cathedral Park St John’s Bridge to Wildwood Loop Trail
We will meet at Cathedral Park at 1:00 and head west across the St. Johns Bridge to the Ridge Trailhead in Forest Park. (This leg of the trip is approximately 1.2 miles one-way)
From there, we will take the Ridge to Wildwood Loop Trail. (This leg of the trip is approximately 4.4 miles, with 1,040 feet of elevation gain)
The total hike is approximately 6.8 miles round-trip
Street parking is available around Cathedral Park and in the nearby residential areas.
Cathedral Park is also accessible by bus on line 75, with the stop at N Lombard & Alta
Option 2: Wildwood Loop Trail Only
For a shorter option, meet up with the group at 2:00 pm at the Ridge Trailhead in Forest Park to take the Wildwood Loop Trail.
Parking is available near the Ridge Trailhead at the NW Bridge Road Parking Area
The trailhead is also accessible by bus on line 16, with the stop at NW Bridge Ave & Springville.
Option 3: St John’s Bridge Only / Choose your own adventure
For the shortest option with fully paved and minimal elevation gain, join us at Cathedral Park at 1:00 pm to cross the St John’s Bridge, and turn back at the Ridge Trailhead.
The Ridge to Wildwood Loop Trail is a lollypop-style trail, so you can also customize your experience to whatever fits your schedule, preference, and ability by taking as much or as little of the trail that works for you.
