Eight-Fold Path: Wise Understanding

Come explore with your community of Wise Friends what it means to delve into your recovery with Wise Understanding. What view do we need to take as we approach developing and pursuing our recovery using the 4 Noble Truths and the Eight-Fold Path as guidelines? Join us in exploring the experience of working with suffering, attachment & craving, cause & effect, the possibility that our suffering from addiction can end and seeing things as they really are.

This workshop will include meditation, presentations by a panel of Recovery Dharma members, Q&A, inquiry writing, small group breakout sessions and large group sharing.

This workshop is freely offered, but there is an opportunity to offer Dana if you like.

Presented by the Portland Intersanghas Wise Friendship Committee to develop new models of recovery support in our community

Admirable friendship, admirable companionship, admirable camaraderie is actually the whole of the holy life. When a practitioner has admirable people as friends, companions, & comrades, he can be expected to develop & pursue the noble eightfold path.”
